Green tariff
According to the legislative framework of Ukraine, the “Green tariff” is a special tariff for the purchase of electricity produced using alternative sources of electricity, which include solar power plants.
The state guarantees that the entire amount of electricity transferred to the general network from renewable sources will be purchased at the “Green tariff”.
According to the legislation, there are two options for obtaining profit from solar power plants in Ukraine: “Green tariff” for private individuals (for individuals, private households) and “Green tariff” for legal entities (organizations and enterprises of various forms of ownership).
The Current "Green Tariff" Grid
The “Green tariff” gives the owners of solar power plants the opportunity to turn surplus generated electricity into their income.
- Purchase of equipment and installation of a solar power plant on the roof/facade/structure within the home ownership
- The maximum capacity of the SPP is 30 kW
- Signing of the electricity purchase/sale agreement at the "Green tariff" with the local "Oblenergo"
- Design, approval and construction of SPP on a plot of land or a roof
- The maximum capacity of SPP is not limited
- Obtaining an electricity producer's license, joining the SE "Energorynok" and approving the "Green tariff"
State Program
The development of alternative energy and the close interaction of the owners of solar stations with the state is a current global trend followed by more than 50 countries. In Ukraine, this topic is gaining more and more popularity both among individuals and among legal entities.
Since 2009, earning from alternative energy has become a reality with competent design and installation of SPPs, fulfillment of all conditions stipulated by the “Green tariff”. The program is designed to last until 2030, and its main goal is to attract investments, including foreign ones, into the alternative energy sector, which is developing in Ukraine.
